The Volpe Eagle Eye System is an integral combination of Camera Multiplexing, Network Video Recording and Alarm/Event Detection with built-in search and management tools. Network Client/Server
The Eagle Eye system is a Client/Server architecture with the VCU as the video server. A client may exist anywhere on your network for remote connectivity. We supply you with a free download that may be installed on any computer, license free. Once this client software is installed, you may access any camera that you have permission to. The Eagle Eye system is capable of accessing several hundred cameras simultaneously. The VCU Client may view and control multiple cameras through "re-tiling" the display to properly fit as many cameras as selected. Both the VCU server and client have the ability manage bandwidth through user selectable resolution and compression.
Video Security Access
The VCU has an authentication server built in to manage names and passwords for individuals and groups such as users, operators and administrators. The Authentication server is able to limit specific camera access depending on user status as well as defining time allotment for camera usage (i.e. 1st shift operators have access to certain cameras for 30 minutes at a time)
Video Storage and Replay
-- Local Video Storage: Video storage is done locally to the VCU or to any storage device (server) on your network
-- MJPEG Video Format: Video compression and storage is based on MJPEG (Motion JPEG) format
-- 240 Frames Per Second: The video surveillance system is capable of storing at least 240 FPS (Frames Per Second) cumulative total across all cameras
-- Define Recorder Events By Type: The VCU Client is capable of defining recorded events by type and using search tools to have them instantly located and replayed.
-- Search For Video By Motion: The VCU Client is able to search for recorded video by motion or associated text string
Advanced Alarming
-- Region Of Interest Alarming: The Eagle Eye system has an ROI (Region of Interest) alarming capable of "soft" motion sensing.
-- Digital Input "Hard" Alarms: The Eagle Eye system is capable of processing "hard" alarms from camera input devices
-- Multimedia Alarming: The Eagle Eye VCU is capable of calling/paging on alarms through a text-to-speech engine. This dial up paging will go through a user list of multiple numbers until it receives an acknowledgment. The alarming package supports scheduling and escalation of alarms.
-- Variety of Alarm Schedules/Triggers: The Eagle Eye is able to build a schedule on hard and soft alarm inputs (i.e. from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm use soft ROI motion sensing, then switch to hard inputs for alarm triggering)
