The Foxboro IAP10S is a high-performance absolute pressure transmitter from Schneider Electric’s trusted I/A Series S Series line. Designed for precision, durability, and versatility, it offers a robust solution for applications that demand highly accurate absolute pressure measurements—even in extreme environments. Built on the same core platform as the IGP and IDP models, the IAP10S specializes in measuring pressure relative to a perfect vacuum, making it ideal for barometric monitoring, vacuum systems, vapor pressure applications, and critical chemical or energy processes where accurate absolute pressure is essential. At its core, the IAP10S integrates FoxCal™ technology—Foxboro’s advanced multi-range calibration system. This allows the transmitter to store up to 11 independent calibration curves, each individually traceable to NIST standards. This architecture enables real-time optimization of the active curve, ensuring consistently high accuracy (±0.05% of reading) regardless of the configured range. The result? A transmitter that provides a 400:1 turndown ratio, allowing you to use a single IAP10S across a broad span of pressures. This eliminates the need for range-specific transmitters, reducing both inventory and lifecycle costs. The IAP10S features 4–20 mA output with embedded HART® 7 digital communication, supporting remote configuration, real-time diagnostics, and integration with asset management platforms. Operators can access device health, perform zero/span calibrations, and even update configurations without removing the device from service. For those preferring local access, the IAP10S can be equipped with an optional LCD display and pushbuttons, allowing quick field commissioning and diagnostics without handhelds or laptops. Additionally, the device features a Time-in-Service counter—a smart runtime tracker that logs how long the transmitter has been powered and active, which aids in predictive maintenance scheduling and asset tracking.
