TERRITORY MANAGER (TECHNICAL SALES)

This sales position will be specifically responsible for managing and growing 100+ customer relationships within the Lehigh Valley, Poconos, and Bux/Mont geographies of eastern Pennsylvania.  Product lines include instrumentation (pressure, flow, level, temperature, vibration, gas leak detection, etc), controllers / control systems, data acquisition / SCADA, industrial networking (wireless, cyber), hazardous area electrical protection, and hardware for tanks (storage and process).                

Overview:

  • Responsible for driving sales growth and managing the technical aspects of our eastern PA territory (including north-central PA, north-east PA, the Lehigh Valley region)
  • Work directly with hundreds of customers to provide products and solutions ranging from instrumentation (pressure, flow, level, vibration, temperature) to gas analysis / detection to PID controllers to data acquisition to SCADA to wireless solutions. 
  • Main interface with hundreds of customers to include writing business plans, developing project quotations, providing lunch and learns, offering technical sales support, training customers, answering technical inquiries from customers, and working with our other key teams (marketing, service, engineering, order entry) to handle all aspects of customer care

Preferred Experience :

  • The ideal candidate would have proven experience with growing a sales territory within the industrial process / automation industry, as well as either (a) having a technical degree (ideally engineering, such as electrical, mechanical, or chemical) or (b) having 5+ years’ experience in the process measurement and control industry.

Skills and Mindset :

  • A love for solving problems and helping customers find the best solution.
  • A passion and enjoyment of interacting with people and helping to solve their problems
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work independently. This position is fast-paced with the urgency, needs, and priorities of our customers changing quickly. The ideal candidate for this position would be organized, positive, and productive in the midst of this demanding pace of work.  Receiving 30-50 emails per day is common.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as a comfort with speaking to multi-generational groups for presentation on products and applications.
  • The ability to program, configure, and wire equipment for measurement and control applications and the ability to teach customers how to do the same.
  • The ability to fit well with our small company culture. Our company is a family environment and we all work outside of our job description from time to time in order to help each other and our customers. Location: This person will work out of Newtown, PA office for the first six months, and then work out of the territory more and more over time.  Ideal location would be to live within one hour north or northwest of Newtown, PA (in Bucks County)

ENTRY LEVEL TECHNICAL SALES

This position is a great way for someone with both a technical aptitude and a sales personality / drive to learn our business.  This position starts as a mostly inside applications position, providing assistance to customers and outside sales teams on quote requests, technical support, and other general sales needs.  Over time, it will evolve more and more into a sales position, with customer visits, business analysis, product presentations, and general assistance in helping companies that we sell to meet their goals for regulatory compliance, process efficiency, personnel safety, and product quality.   

Overview:

  • Responsible for driving and managing the technical aspects and support needs of the inside sales process
  • If you like the show “How It’s Made” and would like to get involved in selling to those companies in a variety of industries, this is a great position for you!
  • Work directly with customers to design effective and reliable solutions, while coordinating efforts with order entry and outside sales teams.
  • Primary technical resource for the outside sales team and order entry.
  • Responsibilities of this position include writing project quotations, technical sales and training presentations, answering technical inquiries from customers, and working with the marketing team to generate technical content.

Preferred Experience :

  • The ideal candidate would have a strong technical aptitude (especially in things mechanical, electrical, and chemical), a great personality for dealing with people, and a strong ability to communicate via verbal and written methods (including texting, Skype, phone, and email)

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION

This sales position will be specifically responsible for helping to grow our influence and sales of all aspects of control and data acquisition products and solutions to our customers in industries like heat treat, pharmaceutical, water / waste, others.  Areas of specialty include temperature control, electric heat power control, process data acquisition, SCADA, and cloud-based storage / analytics.           

Overview:

  • Responsible for driving sales growth and managing the technical aspects of our controls (PID controllers, electric heat power controllers, PLCs and distributed controllers) and data acquisition (recorders, cloud data, SCADA, RTUs) throughout our overall territory (roughly NYC to Philadelphia to Richmond, VA to Pittsburgh, PA to Buffalo, NY)
  • Work within various industries, include mainly heat treat, metals, pharmaceutical, power, water / waste, oil/gas, industrial gas, chemical, and food/beverage. 
  • Main interface with hundreds of customers to include writing business plans, developing project quotations, providing lunch and learns, offering technical sales support, training customers, answering technical inquiries from customers, and working with our other key teams (outside sales, marketing, service, engineering, order entry) to handle all aspects of customer business development

This sales position will be specifically responsible for helping to grow our influence and sales of all aspects of gas leak detection, flame detection, and gas / liquid analyzers (Laser, FT-IR, Mass Spec, Gas Chromatograph, Ramen, Thermal Conductivity, and Electrochemical).  Major industrial focus include oil/gas, industrial gas, pharmaceutical / biotech, heat treat, chemical, power, food/beverage, and gas pipeline.                

Overview:

  • Responsible for driving sales growth and managing the technical aspects of gas / liquid business (including gas leak detection, flame detection, gas analyzers, liquid analyzers) throughout our overall territory (including mainly the NYC to Philadelphia to Baltimore to DC region)
  • Work within various industries, include mainly pharmaceutical, power, water / waste, oil/gas, industrial gas, chemical, food/beverage, and heat treat. 
  • Main interface with hundreds of customers to include writing business plans, developing project quotations, providing lunch and learns, offering technical sales support, training customers, answering technical inquiries from customers, and working with our other key teams (outside sales, marketing, service, engineering, order entry) to handle all aspects of customer business development

Preferred Experience :

  • The ideal candidate would have proven experience with growing a sales territory that included gas leak detection, flame detection, and gas / liquid analyzers.
  • Also ideally would have either (a) a technical degree (ideally engineering, such as electrical, mechanical, or chemical) or (b) having 5+ years’ experience in the process measurement and control industry with specific time spent with detectors / analyzers.
