CUSTOMER SERVICE / SALES OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Job Description: Manage incoming general email traffic timely to ensure professional response and proper redirection. Prepare and enter accurately customer orders, verifying price, cost, profit and sales commissions, making corrections and following up with vendors as needed. Prepare return orders for credits and repairs. Enter and update customer and vendor accounts. Assist customers, sales teams and manufacturers with various requests, following up to completion. Assist with phones, urgent quoting and other general office duties as needed.

  • Extremely detailed (think: obsessive compulsive), highly organized and quick response times
  • Be excellent with using computers, including Outlook, Word, and Excel; once trained, fully proficient with company-specific software

  • Ability to maintain equanimity and efficiently prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Follow-through, checking all open orders and projects needing attention
  • Interest in and ability to understand technical jargon and concepts

  • Ability to cross-train and grow professionally in order to back up/backfill other team members

APPLICATION ENGINEER / INSIDE SUPPORT

Job Description:

  • Responsible for driving and managing the technical aspects of the pre-sales process.
  • work directly with customers to design effective and reliable solutions, while coordinating efforts with order entry and outside sales teams.
  • Primary technical resource for the outside sales team and order entry.
  • Responsibilities of this position include writing project quotations, technical sales and training presentations, answering technical inquiries from customers, and working with the marketing team to generate technical content.

Preferred Experience :

  • The ideal candidate would hold an engineering/technical degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, as well as, 2-5 years’ experience in the process measurement and control industry.

Skills and Mindset :

  • A love for solving problems and helping customers find the best solution.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work independently. This position is fast-paced with the urgency, needs, and priorities of our customers changing quickly. The ideal candidate for this position would be organized, positive, and productive in the midst of this demanding pace of work.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal as well as a comfort with speaking to groups for presentation on products and applications.
  • The ability to program, configure, and wire equipment for measurement and control applications and the ability to teach customers how to do the same.
  • Proficiency with computer technology and the ability to learn and use new software.
