The Foxboro IDP05S is a high-performance, value-tier smart differential pressure transmitter engineered to deliver accurate, reliable, and stable pressure measurement in a wide range of industrial process environments. Designed and manufactured by Foxboro (a Schneider Electric brand), the IDP05S provides a cost-effective solution for applications where dependable pressure measurement is critical but ultra-high-end performance is not required. It represents a streamlined offering within Foxboro’s broader I/A Series® pressure transmitter family, maintaining essential features while optimizing for economy, ease of use, and safety compliance. Built around a rugged, piezoresistive silicon sensor housed in a stainless-steel pressure cavity, the IDP05S is capable of measuring differential pressure over a wide range of spans with excellent stability and response time. The transmitter outputs a standard 4–20 mA signal superimposed with HART® digital communication, allowing for both traditional analog integration and remote digital configuration, calibration, and diagnostics via industry-standard handheld communicators or asset management software. The transmitter is available in several sensor range codes (e.g., T22, T23, etc.), each optimized for a specific differential pressure range. It offers flexible configuration options, including different materials of construction, fill fluids, mounting brackets, electrical connections, and hazardous area certifications (FM, CSA, ATEX, IECEx, Inmetro). Select models are certified for use in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and conform to SIL 2 requirements in accordance with IEC 61508. Designed for demanding process conditions, the IDP05S can withstand aggressive chemicals, elevated pressures, and harsh outdoor environments thanks to its 316 stainless steel wetted parts, IP66/IP67 ingress protection rating, and corrosion-resistant housing. Its field-mountable form factor with optional integral display provides flexibility for both local and remote operation, with external zero and span push-buttons (on applicable models) to facilitate easy commissioning in the field.
