The Neal Systems’ IMPACT Center (I: Instrumentation M: Measurement P: Process A: Automation C: Control T: Training Center) will be kicking off its initial training schedule virtually! Our team of expert engineers and service technicians will be providing 30-minutes of training followed by an interactive discussion.
Our trainings offer unique and practical knowledge on a variety of topics that are guaranteed to impact your day-to-day operations.
See our course descriptions below.
December 8th at 12:00PM (30 minutes): Choosing the best Flowmeter Technology (Coriolis, Magmeter, or Vortex) for industrial applications
Presenter: Walter Freeman
This presentation is geared toward a newer plant, process or design engineer who is faced with making design choices on flow measurements for their gas or liquid applications. This first presentation in a two-part series will specifically discuss the three most common flowmeter technologies – Coriolis, Magmeter, and Vortex). What are the actual capabilities of these three, and what are the sorts of applications where they shine?
December 15th at 12:00PM (30-minutes): Pros and Cons of four Differential Pressure technologies (orifice plate, pitot tube, laminar flow element, V-cone) and methods for measuring flow in industrial processes
Presenter: Dexter Vilar
This presentation is geared toward a newer plant, process or design engineer who is faced with making design choices on flow measurements for their gas or liquid applications. This second presentation in a two-part series will specifically discuss the four process elements that create a differential pressure in a pipe, and then the different transmitter types and accuracies which measure the differential pressure and convert it to a flow reading. What are the actual capabilities of these four most common types of elements, and how do the different transmitter types impact the quality of the flow reading that is created?
