The Foxboro LR65 is an advanced 80 GHz FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar level transmitter specifically engineered for non-contact measurement of dry bulk solids in silos, bins, and hoppers—even in dusty, high-noise, or confined environments. It delivers reliable, continuous level measurement with outstanding precision and minimal maintenance, making it ideal for industries handling powders, granules, and dusty raw materials such as cement, grains, plastic pellets, or chemicals. Built with a compact, flush-mount PEEK lens antenna, the LR65 offers high signal focus and minimal intrusion into the process, enabling accurate readings even in narrow vessels or those with internal obstructions like structural supports, conveyors, or agitators. Its extremely narrow 4° to 8° beam angle, powered by 80 GHz radar technology, ensures high signal-to-noise ratio and reduces false echoes caused by dust or tank geometry. The LR65 is loop-powered (2-wire) and comes with HART 7 communication, allowing easy integration into modern digital control systems and asset management platforms. It supports remote configuration, advanced diagnostics, and echo profiling through compatible tools like Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure™, PACTware™, and other FDT/DTM environments. With a maximum range of up to 100 meters (328 feet) and ±2 mm measurement accuracy, the LR65 is designed for rugged industrial use. Its modular design supports various process connections—including threaded and flanged options—and can be equipped with purge ports to keep the antenna clean in especially dusty conditions.
