Draeger Safety is pleased to announce the full release of their new flagship explosion proof transmitter line, the 8000 series. The new 8000 features high-end diagnostics, advanced gas detection features, and a variety of sensor types: toxic, oxygen, catalytic bead LEL, infrared CO2, and infrared LEL. Full UL approval is available for hazardous area installations. Programming or calibration is available through a simple magnet without having to declassify the area. HART Protocol and On-board Relays are also available if required.
DraegerTubes require a specific number of hand pumps to get a reading. Traditionally this is done with a hand pump known as the AccuroPump, which is fine for many users. However, if significant daily tube readings are required, the AccuroPump can become difficult to work with, leading to inaccuracies and human error. Draeger has now released a new automatic pump, the X-act 5000, which reads the barcode on the side of the tube container, then loads the correct number of pumps into the system. A built-in flowmeter measures the correct quantity of airflow for each tube so that the accuracy of each measurement is increased.
