EXPO SmartPurge® Z Now UL Certified for North America
July 28, 2026Neal Systems is pleased to announce that the EXPO SmartPurge® Z has received UL Certification for North America, providing panel builders, system integrators, OEMs, and end users with a compliant and easy-to-install purge and pressurization solution for hazardous area applications.
The UL certification covers purge and pressurization controls for hazardous locations in accordance with NFPA 496 and UL 121201, giving customers added confidence when specifying equipment for North American installations.
A Simpler Approach to Purge & Pressurization
Traditional purge systems often require multiple components, complex configuration, and extensive commissioning. SmartPurge Z was designed to simplify the entire process.
The system combines the control unit, purge inlet, purge outlet, and overpressure relief valve into a single enclosure-mounted assembly. Once installed, the only commissioning parameter is the purge timer, while the unit automatically manages enclosure pressure and leakage compensation.
